Privacy & GDPR

What personal data this website collects, why EHOSS processes it, how long it is kept and what rights you have over it.

What data we collect

Only what you choose to send us. A contact form takes your name, your e-mail address and your message, and — depending on the topic — your organisation, your country, a phone number and any files you attach. An application takes your name, e-mail address, phone number, a LinkedIn profile if you give one, your message and your CV. Reading the site does not identify you: the one cookie we set records your cookie choice, and the analytics you can allow count visits without cookies and without personal data.

Why we process it

To answer you. An enquiry goes to the EHOSS team it concerns and is used to reply and to follow up on what you asked for; an application is used to assess you for a place at EHOSS and to contact you about it. The legal basis is the steps you ask us to take before a possible agreement, and our legitimate interest in answering what is sent to us (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). We do not sell your data, use it for advertising or pass it to anyone outside EHOSS other than the providers who run this website and our e-mail for us.

How long we keep it

Only as long as the purpose needs. An enquiry is kept while we deal with it and with the cooperation that follows from it, and is then deleted. An application is kept for the selection it was sent for and deleted when that selection ends, unless you agree that we keep it for future openings. Data is kept longer only where the law requires a record of it. Your cookie choice stays in your browser for 12 months.

Your rights under GDPR

You can ask us at any time for access to the personal data we hold about you, and to have it corrected, erased or restricted; you can receive it in a portable format and object to its processing. Where you gave consent — for analytics, in the cookie preferences in the footer — you can withdraw it at any time. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority; in Slovakia that is the Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky (Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic).
